You will be responsible for interacting with operations and technology partners both locally and regionally. Will participate in strategy, architecture, business analysis and high level component design for migrating legacy applications to strategic platforms.
You will be responsible for the full project life cycle including gathering user requirements, development and delivery of solutions. The role requires developer skills but also the ability to interact with users and understand their requirements, some project management as well as testing and deployment preparation for back office processing focusing on areas like payments/settlement, trade registration and MIS across products including foreign exchange, fixed income and equity derivatives.
The aim will be to understand operations priorities, take their requirements and develop solutions using existing tools and applications.

Good to have skills/responsibilities:
- Financial background
- Analysis and documentation of business requirements
- Designs including class diagrams/object modeling, data modeling and system interfaces
- Development and testing of applications to support the business
- Creation of project plans
- Part of 3rd level support team for production system
- Partnership with the users

Skills required:
- College degree in engineering or computer science or related area (preferred)
- Strong English communication skills (fluent)
- Minimum of 5 years+ of development experience
- Excellent Java EE/J2EE, core Java programming skills
- Knowledge of Java frameworks: Spring/JMS/JPA/Mule. Hands-on experience with Spring and Hibernate/iBatis
- Good relational database development experience (Oracle/Sybase/SQL Server)
- Good understanding of development tools: Subversion, Eclipse, Maven, Ant, JIRA, GreenHopper
- Working knowledge of Tomcat/Apache application servers
- Worked in an agile development environment: scrum/test driven development/continuous integration
- Minimum of 2 years+ of analysis/PM experience, includes gathering user requirements, creating process flow diagrams, etc.
- Ability to multi-task, comfortable with change, ability to operate in an intense environment
- Ability to work to deadlines, results-oriented, flexible, adaptable
